Booking Process
Do I need to book in advance?
It’s highly recommended you book in advance, to ensure you get a date and time that suits you best. Whilst last minute bookings are accepted, slots are often booked out during summer season, so please try to book beforehand.
How do I book?
You can book online by using our contact form or by sending an email to info@quadbikehiremalta.com.
Payment
What type of payment methods are accepted?
Credit Cards, Debit Cards & Cash Payments are accepted at the offices. Deposit might be required in cash.
Existing Booking
Can I reschedule my booking?
Yes, you can reschedule your booking to a different date or time (subject to availability) up to 72 hours before the event.
Cancellation
Can I cancel my booking?
You can reschedule your booking (subject to availability) up to 72 hours before the event.
Can I get a refund?
If your booking gets cancelled by us, you will be refunded or offered an alternative date.
You will also be refunded if all ferry services between Malta and Gozo are halted.
In other cases no refunds are issued.
What happens in case of bad weather?
You will be notified 1 day before your reservation if your booking is cancelled due to bad weather conditions. You will be offered a different date or a refund.
Requirements
What is required to book a quad bike/buggy rental or a quad bike/buggy tour?
Drivers must be at least 21 years old and have a valid car driving licence. A deposit may be required against any fines or damages incurred. In some cases an International Driving Permit is required.
Do I need a driving licence to drive a quad bike or buggy?
Yes, you need a valid car driving license. Provisional licence is not accepted.
Do I need an International Driving Permit to drive a quad bike or buggy?
If your driving license is not in the Roman alphabet (i.e. if it’s in Arabic, Greek, Cyrillic, Chinese, Korean or Japanese) you are required to bring an International Driving Permit along with your domestic license.
Do I need insurance to ride a quad bike or buggy?
Third party or Comprehensive insurance is provided.
What age can someone drive a quad bike or buggy?
Drivers must be at least 21 years old and have a valid car driving licence.
Do I need training to ride a quad bike or buggy?
Short operational training is provided before releasing the vehicle.
Safety
I’ve never ridden a quad bike or buggy before, is that a problem?
No, everyone will receive a step by step instructions and a vehicle operational training to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
Is riding a quad bike or buggy safe?
Yes, providing you follow the simple rules and instructions given to you by your instructor. You will be told the Dos and Don’ts of riding a quad bike or a buggy.
Do I need to wear a helmet to ride a quad bike or buggy?
Yes, you need to wear a helmet at all times when riding a quad bike or a buggy. Helmets are provided.
Can children join as a passenger?
Children as young as 3 years old for a buggy and 8 years old for a quad (in some cases 10 years old) can ride as a passenger with their legal guardian.
Can I ride a quad bike or buggy if pregnant?
For safety reasons we do not recommend this activity for pregnant women.
Can I ride a quad bike or buggy if I have an injury?
For safety reasons we do not recommend this activity for participants with serious back or neck problems.
On the day of the activity
What time should I arrive for my planned booking?
Please arrive at the time stated on your booking confirmation, unless you’ve been advised otherwise.
What if I am running late for my planned booking?
If you are running late, please contact us and let us know how late you will be.
Where can I ride my quad bike or buggy?
You can ride a quad bike or buggy on public roads only. Off-roading is not allowed.
Can a passenger join me on my quad bike or buggy?
Yes, up to one (1) passenger.
